End of Season Celebration

Last night was so fun! I loved getting to see the kids again.

As the fundraiser, pre-swim team, and practice schedule become more defined, I will update here on the blog.

Two other items to look for that I didn't mention last night:
1) Possible swimming lessons this spring offered by Coach Graham through my mom and my business, Authentic Aquatics
2) Possible team pool party just for fun at one of our swimmers' houses this summer.

Stay tuned!

Pictures

Here are the pics Mr. Starr took last night.

Thank You

I was SO blessed by the thank you gift last night, the hugs, and the kind and encouraging words from both parents and swimmers. Thank you for helping to make all the work that went into this season so worth it!

Important Cub/Cadet Info and Exciting Polliwog Announcement

Important Cub/Cadet Info

By the end of the day today, I will submit these qualifying times from our Division 1 Cubs/Cadets Championships Meet yesterday:
Abbie in the 50yd Freestyle
Elly Jo in the 50yd Freestyle
Mac in the 25yd Backstroke
Haiyden in the 50yd Backstroke

I have also found out that we are allowed to submit times that are close to qualifying. I have submitted these swimmers and events:
Abbie in the 25yd Freestyle and 25yd Backstroke
Elly Jo in the 25yd Freestyle
Maddie in the 25 yd Freestyle
Madeleine in the 25yd Breaststroke
Josiah in the 25yd Freestyle and 25yd Backstroke
Mac in the 25yd Freestyle

Thank you to Heather Young for helping us get all these times submitted!

We will not find out if any of these extra entries will be officially in the All-Star meet until January 23rd. I will send out individual emails as soon as I get word. Until then, I would like those that might make it in All-Stars to be at practice on Tuesday. By Thursday, we will know if they have made it or not. But, regardless, I would like to open up practice this week to any Cub or Cadet that would like to join us. If you have made it to All-Stars, you don't have a choice. ;) Be at practice!

We were not able to get a Cub/Cadet team pic at the meet on Saturday. Please bring your team suit and cap to practice on Tuesday. We will take our picture at practice. Thanks!

Meet results from yesterday have not been released yet. When they are, I will post it here. Keep an eye out.

Exciting Polliwog Announcement

Both our boys and girls Polliwog teams got 3rd overall at the Polliwog Championship Meet. In addition, the girl's 100yd freestyle relay got 2nd place and the boy's got 3rd place. I am so proud of all of you! Congratulations! There were many individual ribbons won as well. These are given to the top 12 swimmers in each event. These ribbons will be handed out at the End of Season Celebration on February 1st at 6:30pm in the auditorium.

Getting Ready

I will goal/encouragement cards for them when they get to the meet.

Having that big break in the middle of our season was tough, but the kids did such a great job swimming hard and staying focused.

Thanks to Heather Young, we have another form of results to look at. Here are the meet results.

Thank You

Thank you to everyone who volunteered at the meet! Saint Ignatius was very appreciative.

Practice

I'm looking forward to a great week of practices. This will be the last week of practices for Polliwogs.

Cubs/Cadets Championship Meet

If you have not let me know if your swimmer will be at the Championship meet yet,  please email me by Wednesday, January 9th. Thank you!

All-Star Swim Meet

If your swimmer has qualified for the All-Star swim meet, I will be emailing you tomorrow about if you'd like me to register them for the meet. There is a $45 non-refundable entry fee.

If your swimmer is still trying to qualify, there is still the Championships meet. However, they will only be able to get in if there is still room. If we have anyone qualify right after the meet, I will notify the director of CYO to see if there is still room in the event at All-Stars.
